Great cottage with wonderful views and all comforts .Helpful Owners on site can provide meals as part of their yurt operation …nearby but not intrusive .Also owners have good tips on what to visit .Much rural entertainment with pigs, chickens and many wild birds .Centrally located in Dales but quiet .

Enjoyed a very pleasant, peaceful stay here for a few days. House has beautiful furnishings, and top quality stuff in the kitchen. Makes you feel very at home. Lovely walks straight from the door with plenty of eating and drinking choices in Hawes. The EV charger is a bonus, but is a three point outside plug, not a specific EV charger so bring the right cable! The SMART TV wasn't as listed as wasn't connected to the internet; we would have brought our firestick if we had known this. The owners are just next door and very helpful. Lovely brownies on arrival and a welcome bottle of wine and the most delicious milk! Thank you very much. Would stay again.

Property was not cleaned properly; cobwebs in two areas and lots of stains up the wall in kitchen which could have been cleaned off. Shower door broken and would not close so difficult to shower without water leaking. No dog towels or dog bowls provided for our dog but property is on a farm so all walks will be muddy. We did have to pay £25 extra for the dog to stay which given the lack of provision, we did begrudge this. Overall the area was lovely and Hawes is a lovely town to visit and many local walks but the cottage is remote with nothing close by. Few issues with the accuracy of the listing; hot tub was not available to book as owners were away and this was the only reason we chose this accomodation, WIFI was patchy, dogs not allowed upstairs but no stairgate to prevent this, welcome book in cottage says only certain logs can be used and you have to buy these from the owner but the information sent to you prior to arrival says you can buy logs in local shops and does not specify it has to be a certain type of wood. Information says there will be provisions in the property for the first night and day but this is not the case - 1 toilet roll, no toiletries at all, no dog towels to dry your dog off (we had to buy some as all towels were white), no breakfast provided even basic breakfast, just milk, tea coffee and sugar and 2 brownies provided. Kitchen chairs are very stained and furniture downstairs looks tired and worn. If you arrive late then basically make sure you have everything with you that you need. Overall we did not feel this accomodation was 5 star - more like 3.5 star at best.

Great hosts, fantastic cottage with spectacular views. A bonus are the meals that are available, great value and restaurant quality. Ideally located for Wensleydale walks. Would certainly return if in the area again.
