We came up with friends for a short trip to see the solar eclipse. We wanted to be easy driving distance to the path of totality and Farmington fit the bill. The property is very close to town, just a few minutes' drive to get groceries, gas, or to visit the cute restaurants and shops in the main part of town. The house itself was gorgeous, comfortable, clean, and felt very homey. There's plenty of space for everyone to hang out together, cook meals, etc. Each bedroom had comfortable beds and the showers had great water pressure. The surroundings were beautiful and serene. Note there is a dairy farm close by so you may get an occasional whiff of the silage when the wind is right, but consider it part of the charm of the area! We had no issues during our stay, just a few logistical questions, and Jeanne was an extremely responsive and prompt communicator. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time at Jeanne’s. The house was cozy but had plenty of space. It was easy to get to town, but felt right in the country. We couldn’t have asked for a better space for our family trip!

Jeanne accommodated my day-of request, which was very kind. Her home was clean and comfy. I’d recommend this spot if you’re looking for a home base in Maine.
