Kilcrohane is a small quiet remote village on the stunning unspoilt sheep's Head Peninsula the smallest finger of the 5 westerly peninsula's jutting out into the Atlantic. I am situated in the village with 2 pubs, 2 restaurants (high season only), a shop and the beautiful Dunmanus Bay all on the doorstep. Great for swimming, kayak/canoeing, cycling and hiking. The award winning Sheep's Head Way is a 200km walking route with 18 loop walks around the peninsula. The area is very quiet in the winter months which is great if looking for a 'get away' to recharge. The summer months are more lively with a great buzz around the village, local bars and the pier with families enjoying the beautiful clear water. Bantry is a vibrant market town 30 mins away with a wonderful market every Friday. Lots of restaurants, shops, a cinema, water activities, walks, Bantry house and garden. Cork city is around 1.5 hrs drive away.
West Cork is truly a stunning part of Ireland with the Wild Atlantic Way rugged coastline, mountains, lakes, green rolling hills, colourful villages with colourful locals, small islands to discover and whale/dolphin watching. I could go on and on! :)

You can park on the Main Street opposite my house. Getting around the peninsula is best by car or bicycle and by foot if hiking is your thing!
There is a new bus service that runs from Kilcrohane to Ahillies on the Beara Peninsula 4 times a day, 7 days a week!!! A great way to see both peninsulas and take a trip on the famous cable car over to Dursey Island!
