Lovely peaceful lodge. Really comfy with everything you’d need. Samantha was a great host, very helpful and responsive. We had lovely days out at the coast and in the forest park. Would definitely recommend.

Galloway forest is beautifull! Very quiet. Fine place if you like to hike. The coast is nearby, for a visit to Culzean castle for example.

We stayed at the lodge to extend a weekend trip to a nearby wedding only wish we had been there longer ! The Lodge is perfect ,spotlessly clean and a real home from home We felt really comfortable there The cupboards come complete with essentials for cleaning and there is salt pepper and sugar , something we are not used to at self catering properties , we even had a gift of eggs form the chickens which were delicious Samantha is a great host and left us to enjoy our stay privately which is just what we wanted Would return for sure ,just longer next time ! Thank you Samantha x

We’ve enjoyed Samantha’s Lodge and the surrounding area. Plenty of opportunities to be with nature : birds, animal wildlife etc. The peacocks and Guinea fowl were a pleasant surprise. . Just a couple of points we addressed and easily remedied. The shower hose and head needed a better connection and replaced Great to have a Miras Shower. The water drainage was a little slow and easily corrected. The Lodge manual is very comprehensive We received good tips from Samantha for restaurants. Also for various walking areas
