Had a fabulous 2 nights stay over the Easter weekend. A beautiful and cosy little place, very peaceful. The hot tub is a lovely addition. We jumped on the Coastliner to York from the village (approx 15 minute walk from Janet’s place) and the bus ride to York took about 20 minutes. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again. Janet was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Me and my boyfriend booked to stay at The Pheasant Wing for a little christmas getaway and definitely don’t regret it! Such a beautiful, peaceful location, but still a relatively short walk to stops for a number of buses that take you into York, and you can also order food on Uber Eats, Deliveroo etc. The amenities were all great, with an air fryer and microwave in the kitchen, TV in the living room, board games and the hot tub which was my favourite part! We definitely would love to come again in the summer and make more use of the large garden, summer house and sun loungers. Janet and John were lovely, and John actually ended up driving us to the Askham Bar park and ride when we were leaving as we were struggling to get a taxi, which was a lifesaver! Can’t recommend staying here enough☺️
