Clean and emasculate throughout. Appliances well maintained. Heating system excellent . Dated decor in places but homely. Settee was a little small to accommodate 2 adults comfortably. Single bedroom would have be better served with slightly larger bed. The one and only bathroom for up to 3 persons more like en-suite size for the single room. Shower cubicle is not roomy enough for most adults-as I could just about get through door. Would have preferred a bath with shower over to give room to move. Which suggests either putting the toilet and basin in a separate room for this to be workable. All ok for a last minute break but for more than a few nights no. Parking next to entrance gate was not possible as the space would only accommodate a mini sized car for it to be safe from other car users. There were 3 garage doors plus spaces in front that should have possibly be allocated instead for the bungalow. There were pluses and minuses for this accommodation unfortunately.

Well-appointed clean and spacious 2 bedroom bungalow sufficient to the needs of our party of 3. Good lounge are and well equipped kitchen though we did not cook as we were visiting family nearby. The hairdryer was found very useful. The art deco bedroom suite in the single room was nice to see and the other bedrooms furnishings were practical antique slight issue with the double bed which was very soft - and as the room was more than large enough it was a pity not to have a kingsize bed. The shower room was well fitted though the shower cbicle was a bit tight. Water flow at the basin was an issue - very slow warm water. Generally a very useful place located where we needed it!

If you like a disparate collection of junk furniture ; nowhere to use a hair dryer with mirror or apply makeup; your Gran's kitchen from the 1950s (Parkinson Cowan cooker and gas grill, ancient noisy boiler, no dishwasher! etc) but have free bus pass then this place is ideal. Oh, and some ear plugs if you're in the front bedroom - for the road noise! Positives are the bus stop 50 yds away (No 12 in to York Station), excellent local Italian, Bongiornio (You'll need to book) and local Fish and Chip shop, Butlers (Family run)

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was very clean and peaceful. Great location - only a short drive into the city. We’d be happy to stay again next time we are in the area. Thanks!
