We stayed at the cottage as a family of 4 looking to escape the day to day for a weekend. Trevor was friendly, welcoming and informative upon arrival. The cottage is set away from the main farm area and offers privacy within a self contained courtyard with outside seating, a separate games room and plenty of room for parking (2-3 vehicles). The kids loved meeting and feeding the animals on the farm whilst we also utilized the opportunity to go exploring Carding Mill Valley (35 min drive) during our stay. The cottage was cozy, the bedrooms plenty big enough with the kitchen and living area offering plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 young children.

A great stay in a great location. This is a very restful place and is totally off-grid, relying on solar and wind energy. The view is memorable. The wifi signal was good so perhaps totally off-grid is a misnomer, nevertheless everything is there to make a stay comfortable. Great place to chill and we saw some great flora (plenty of wild fungi thereabouts) and fauna (Red Kites, buzzards, etc.) Good to see that a farm can be run organically too. P.S. I can recommend the steaks - very good quality and extremely tasty!

This cottage is absolutely amazing - the photos on the listing do not do justice to what a gem this place is and what beautiful views it has. We were a party of four who came for a weekend stay and it felt idyllic. We had planned to come for walks but honestly wanted to just spend our time on the farm - or in the nearby villages and fields overlooking Clun. Trevor and his wife are wonderful hosts, communicated with us well before we arrived and even on the day I had a lot of trouble getting lost near the end of my journey and Trevor drove out to meet me himself an hour after the official check-in time ended. He was super friendly and available at all times. We were also able to buy fresh eggs, quail eggs and marrow jam for our breakfast and we left with some lamb as well. We had both heavy rain and beautiful sun during our stay so got to enjoy both making a fire and cosying up inside, and sitting out on the benches and the big swing in the sun. The games room is also amazing and the cottage has lots of board games and films to watch. It is clean, homey, got lots of cooking utensils you could need and feels super safe. It's also a fully eco-cottage run by solar and wind-power. I wish we had stayed longer and am definitely planning to go back!!
