I just spent five days here at this cottage retreat. While I don't tend to nit-pick I would be remiss if I didn't mention how dirty the cottage was when I arrived. The three bathrooms in particular were unbearably filty and I was forced to clean for close to three hours as the toilets and showers had clearly not been cleaned in weeks, if not months. There are no screens on any of the windows, so you can't enjoy the breeze or sound of water coming from the lake. The well water is not consumable and has an intense sulfur odour resulting in everything inside smelling like rotten eggs. On a positive note - the location and the scenery were outstanding. There is plenty of space outside to entertain with a gorgeous view of the water. The cottage itself is very spacious and would comfortably sleep 8 adults, with all of the necessary amenities. If the water issue and cleanliness was addressed, I would likely give this a five star rating.

This property is lakefront with a great view and direct access to water. The outdoor space is quite wonderful for outdoor dining and entertainment! The host was in good communication with me on the day of our check in and offered a late check out of 1pm. The kitchen was well-equipped and the host provided sufficient bottled water. Those travelling with large groups will want to be mindful of the number of beds and bedrooms as some of the beds are sofa beds in main living space which may not be suitable for all.

Good: Excellent backyard deck with lake access. The views were magnificent. Location and overall condition of the home was pretty good. Bad: Tap water condition was really horrible. If it was mentioned clearly in the listing we would have planned ahead by bringing in our own water supplies. Few minor issues with accuracy of the listing. We were met with very aggressive reaction when we went back to get some items that we had left after checking out which was totally uncalled.

Mithats place is a great getaway spot on the water. The water across from the property and big deck over hanging Lake Ontario made for some pretty wonderful days and evenings. It is located about 45 mins from PEC wineries. It is very straightforward to get to from the 401. Mithat is available and accommodating!

To be clear regards to the listing this is not Prince Edward County, but I knew that because that's where I live. We had a wonderful stay at Mithats with a few caveats. The home had a fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and a really amazing views and outdoor space. However leading up to our stay I had asked several times if there were anythings I should know about the place, responses were slow and there were no issues that were mentioned. When I did arrive though I was told that tap water wasn't safe to drink and there was a filtered water station, first bottle was empty and the replacement didn't last the weekend for 4 adults. That would have been the perfect thing to mention so we could have prepared our own supply of water. Other then that, we really enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the water, the house and even the friendly neighbours! We would definitely book again!!
