Carla was sweet and a good communicator, making our evening check-in easy (we booked our stay with only one day's notice), but the place could use some attention. The cabin is musty, which is not a surprise, but I think the price is a little high given the mustiness, the detached bathroom, and the setting. It is located within a compound of several other houses and cabins, so it didn't feel like we were "in the woods" as described in the listing. It had rained quite a bit that week, so traveling between the cabin and the bathroom meant that we tracked mud back and forth each time, with no way to clean up. Doormats would have been useful. So would towels (which Carla had said she would leave out for us) or a broom. Also, the only toilet paper in the bathroom was soaking wet, and there were thousands of ants, with one large nest up against the outlets, and no ant-free surfaces to put a towel or toiletries. That said, the shower was hot, and we slept fine for our <10-hour stay. Carla had given us a number to call if we needed anything, but we knew we would be gone early the next morning and it didn't seem worth it to bother anyone that late in the evening.
