A fully renovated gem with eat-in kitchen, quartz countertops and new appliances. High-speed FiberOptic Internet!! 1st Floor: Half bath, living room, fireplace, sunroom. Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, clawfoot tub + shower, walk-in shower suite. Sunsets to the front, sunrises to the back. Perfect crocket lawns. Fenced yard for Fido! Veggie gardens, sounds of crickets, occasional trains (surprisingly exciting!), within minutes of historic sites + wineries. You'll enjoy your stay at Maple Crest. Maple Crest is full of wonderful light and mountain views from many windows with sunrise and sunset views of the Southwest Mountains.

Excellent stay, only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy this beautiful home and its amenities.
Was in Somerset for my son’s wedding at a nearby venue. Fresh cut flowers from their property had been thoughtfully placed throughout the house. The home was comfortable and had everything I possibly needed even with having multiple family members stop in for breakfast Sunday AM. The fenced in area was awesome and secure for my dog. Questions were answered promptly and any issue was addressed immediately - including Gaby bringing an iron to me within minutes when i asked if there was one at the house. Although my son and daughter-in-law have moved out of the area, I may need to make a trip to this beautiful area just so I can stay at Maplecrest again. 🙂
We had such an amazing stay at John’s place! It was a hot 4th of July weekend but we found lots of shade and fun things to do in the area. This place is definitely dog friendly, our pups had a blast in the backyard and on the patio. It also had one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve seen at an Airbnb - not to mention all things for grilling. John was so lovely, responsive and helpful and provided tons of great ideas of things to do close by. Everything for the house was also well labeled and easy to understand and we had zero problems. We will definitely be back!
What a lovely stay we had at MapleCrest! We found our dates had changed just prior to our reservation, but John and Gaby were flexible and extremely responsive and were able to accommodate our new dates. The house is comfortable, nice touches, had everything we needed, and was very conveniently located for our family wedding in the area. Would highly recommend.
The house was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the fenced in yard for the dogs. Was a very relaxing atmosphere for all. Thank you to our hosts for their hospitality.

Maple Crest is in the heart of historic Somerset in Orange County, Virginia. We are right next to a once important whistle stop for one of the earliest railroads in America. We are surrounded by large working farms and some similar vintage homes. There are lovely views of the surrounding farms and the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. We are just five miles from the quaint small towns of Orange and Gordonsville and about 30 minutes from Charlottesville and UVA. There are 5 wineries within 20 minutes and many important historic sites nearby.
Maple Crest is in a decidedly rural area well known for its fine farms and estates. Access is on country roads. Blue Ridge Turnpike is a designated Virginia Scenic Byway. There is plenty of parking.
