We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in het huis van Nic. Wat meteen opviel, was de ruimte. Het is heel groot. Ook het zwembad was groot! We waren er begin april en het was nog niet heel warm, maar hebben toch elke dag een korte duik kunnen nemen na onze daguitstap. De ligging is erg goed, op een heuvel dus erg rustig, het uitzicht is fantastisch, maar er is ook veel te doen in de buurt (veel fijne en indrukwekkende uitstappen op 20-30 minuutjes rijden). Het dakterras was heel fijn. De buren zijn ook heel lief. Ik hoop zeker dat we nog eens kunnen terugkomen!

Tolles Haus in traumhafter ruhiger Lage. Sehr gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Gerade die Terrasse ist einfach nur genial. Auch das jedes Schlafzimmer auch ein eigenes Badezimmer hat fanden wir super. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten jeglicher Art sind nur 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Als Ausgangspunkt um die Algarve zu erkunden perfekt. Nic reagiert unfassbar schnell. Ein Beispiel: Als ein umgestürzter Baum die Einfahrt versperrte hat er innerhalb von 30 Minuten alles gelöst und wir konnten wieder alles nutzen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Nicks place was as described and we very much enjoyed our stay. The views of the orange orchards were breathtaking. We were in search of a peaceful, relaxing place and that is exactly what we got. I would recommend Nicks place without any hesitation.

Nic is a friendly and extremely responsive host. The house is in a quiet and bucolic area, beautifully situated on a hill overlooking orange groves. The balcony gets lots of sun and overlooks lovely terraced plantings. Several beautiful old trees dot the property. Such peace and quiet would be difficult to find in a seaside town. The house is about 10-20 minutes from a number of lovely destinations and amenities, from markets to restaurants to cliffside costal walks and towns with Moorish ruins. The interior was more rustic and simply furnished than we had anticipated or hoped. It would probably be fine for a summer break where you’re spending most of your time outside or touring the beautiful Algarve region. For a work-from-home break in winter, we felt the house did not quite meet our needs or desired level of comfort.

A lovely cosy home - very cold inside in the winter but that just meant we kept the wood fire going which was lovely. The weather outside was beautiful - I bet its a lovely cool house in the summer.
