This is truly a sanctuary. We spent a lot of time watching wildlife in the backyard by the pristine pond preserve. Such amazing location! A bay beach is also nearby. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings.

We had a wonderful weekend at Thomas’. The space was roomy and immaculate and in a really lovely setting on a beautiful marsh. It was close to many vineyards and good food. Thomas was wonderfully accommodating and responsive. I would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend this place to anyone coming through this area. Marisa

As a North Fork native, I love finding gems like this place--and host--whenever we come back to visit. It doesn't get much better than the view from the back deck (and inside, from the living room) of the pond and Peconic Bay just beyond, not unless you want to jump up to a much much higher price range. Peaceful, restful neighborhood. About a 1 mile walk to the beach and/or a nature preserve around the pond; very short drive (5-10 minutes) to everything you would need in Mattituck. Well-decorated, homey, clean and easy to keep clean, all the amenities you'd need, flexible space for work/rest/dining/cooking. Great host--very responsive and thoughtful throughout. We stayed for a week and will definitely be looking to book it again in the future.
