I wanted to stay outside the city in a place that was safe, reasonably priced, and with easy access to the highway, and this fit the bill.

Julie’s place was the first place in weeks I walked into and was like “oh thank Christ” about, as it was homey and CLEAN. I felt like it was safe to put my bags down and go to bed without checking or cleaning anything. I loved the rural feel, the goats and chickens, and her beautiful tripod guard dog, Wren, who made me feel safe at night as she would patrol the property, keeping wild horses and anything else in check. This place was exactly what I needed, a soul- soothing place to spend a few days, right off the Highway but country still, with a root cellar, and an old barn that’s now the goats playhouse. Thank you so much Julie, I’m so glad I randomly picked your place as I was driving through Nevada and realized I better stop for a bit or I might not make it through Utah. You, your furry and feathered friends, and the “clean dirt” really did save me more than you know. <3

So glad we stayed here! We were in the process of moving cross country, and this was a great stop (much better than continuing onto Reno)! It felt remote and peaceful, but was also really close to Fernley for any dinner/breakfast plans. The home had everything we needed. Julie was responsive and helpful. Loved seeing the goats and meeting Ren the farm dog! One of our dogs, Milly, had the best time exploring the property with Ren. If we’re traveling back through Nevada and need a place to stay, we’d definitely stop here again!
