The Tides / 888 is an old motel but the rooms have been renovated sufficiently, they are clean, and have what you need. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean, clean linens, a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, desk, chairs, a table, an open closet area, night table with drawers and a chest of drawers, sufficient lamps and outlets, television, WiFi, parking. Folks are friendly, it’s right across from the beach on the Long Island Sound, walkable to a few restaurants and Bayville town is a 5 minute drive, Locust Valley town is a 5 minute drive, more beaches within 5 to 15 minute drives, arboretums, preserves, and a 1/2 drive to Hicksville train station, a main hub of the northern line on LIRR. We found it beautiful and convenient, laid back, just what we needed. Really appreciate this place. Would go back 💜

We had a wonderful stay. The space is just across the ocean. It’s quiet at night and really beautiful in the morning. Junling gave us recommendations of nearby restaurants and is very responsive.

This is a motel room. It was outdated but clean, beds were comfortable, it had a fridge and microwave but no coffee pot. Junling found us one, but the coffee pods didn’t match. We made it work! Only issue was check out, we left super early and there was no drop box for the key or directions on what to do. We ended up locking the key in the room because no one was in the office. Overall this space was exactly as I thought it would be. Nicer inside than out and a good place for the money. I would stay there again!
