We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the New River trail. It was too cold during our stay to enjoy lake activities, but the view was nice. The accommodations were comfortable, and we always appreciate dog friendly hosts!

We had a fantastic time and plan to visit again next year! The views are incredible - very peaceful and serene. We got a chance to meet Erika’s family and they are very warm and welcoming. The hospitality they showed during our stay was unlike any AirBnB experience we’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend!

Erika’s place was beautiful. Had everything we needed. We didn’t get to spend much time there because we were back and forth to Blacksburg which is about 40min. Wish we had time for the offered boat ride! Thanks again for a relaxing stay.

Our stay exceeded our expectations at the The Bear’s Den. We were greeted at our arrival by David and he made sure we were welcomed and comfortable in his home! The property is on a beautiful lake with breathtaking scenery! We can’t express enough how grateful and appreciative we are to David and Deb! They are the most kind and generous people we have met in our Airbnb stays! Thanks again for making our stay very memorable! Barkley is the cutest dog ever! We look forward to seeing you again in the near future!

If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat this is the place! As kayakers and cyclists this was the perfect location to explore the New River rails to trail, Claytor Lake and the New River. The house was spacious and extremely well equipped along with an incredibly comfortable bed. The only thing better than the spectacular lakeside view was the hospitality of the hosts Erica and David. Erica gave us several helpful area recommendations. David was wonderfully enthusiastic and took us out for enjoyable pontoon boat rides of the lake. We had a memorable time and highly recommend this Air B&B.
