the journey to the cottage let's you know that you are off the beaten path......going from Fig Tree Drive to a more local road to a bumpy dirt road. once there, we were received with a warm welcome from Martin, settled in and enjoyed. it's a cozy, comfortable, peaceful, secluded environment. we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the birds, the dogs, the chickens throughout our week. the cottage encouraged our lazy mornings and made it difficult to leave. all in all a super relaxing, enjoyable stay.

What a truly beautiful place this is. If you feel the need to unwind, relax and connect with nature then this is the place for you. From the shabby chic style bedroom, outdoor but very private shower and the twinkling lights to welcome you back at night the whole place is truly magical. Spent a whole afternoon just relaxing in the hammock!

This was by far the most lovely place I have ever been- magical. Lou was away, but shared excellent recommendations for great local eats (you must try Zelma’s and one we found on our own, Trappas-ask for Shannon). Martin was our host for the week and we cannot say enough about this amazing human. He was so kind, responsive to anything we needed, and knowledgeable about so much including some of the best kept secrets of the island. We had a new adventure each day that included Martin’s recommendations. We started each day with morning coffee and the pups - Cleo and Bash who were so lovable- surrounded by a variety of birds, roosters and hens, geckos, and a huge tree frog. We could hear Flossie and her son chiming in from up the hill. We came back each evening to the best greeting from Cleo and Bash. We hope to return to this remarkable place soon. Best Airbnb experience ever… much appreciation to Lou and Martin, Cleo and Bash for creating this oasis.

We wanted a few days away from the business of the city and Tranquil Farm sure did not disappoint. Our journey to thIs home away from home tucked neatly in the southern side of the island was scary yet intriguing. As we both doubted whether we followed the directions provided by our host Louise.We pulled up to our little hide away and our short walk down the path to the cabin, indicated how intentional Louise was about the space. Our room was a vintage aesthetic dream, from the bed lined with a mosquito net to the mounted vintage lanterns. " A perfect romantic space for two!" for entertainment Louise provided domino's and a few historical and fictional books, and not to mention our favourite past timers - " The dogs!" The pair were extremely friendly. The host were lovely and weren't over or under-involved in our stay. Highly recommended weekend adventure for both visitors and islanders. GREAT EXPERIENCE!
