Toes in the Sand was perfect for our group of seven friends. The views from the upper deck were stunning, the layout of the house was perfect for everyone to spread out and enjoy all of the spaces. The house was pristine upon arrival with easy check in instructions and everything was as pictured in the listing. We had only one minor issue with the hot tub not working for the first couple of days but it was fixed quickly and the situation was handled in a fair manor. Lots to do in the area with so many great restaurants! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
This house was nice and fit our needs well. It would have been nice to have an ocean view from a bedroom. On the middle floor the bedroom does have a walk out balcony, but the dunes have moved so far into the house you don't have a view. I understand there isn't anything you can do about the dunes, but this is a drawback since the majority of the rooms are on the middle floor. There are A LOT of stairs. As a duplex, you kind of know that going in but it is still surprising when you're walking in and carrying groceries. The house was well stocked with plates, cups and silverware and a small thing of spices were provided. But no other items, plan to bring that with you. We were also given 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 bathrooms. They did say in an email that you should bring extra with you, but I have never encountered that with an Airbnb before. I was also frustrated with having to sign an additional lease for the rental company, I thought the Airbnb terms were sufficient.
We had an absolutely great stay. The house was bigger, nicer, and cleaner than expected vs. any of our previous OBX stays. Great location and the pics are accurate. We were concerned that the house was connected to the neighbors, but we did not hear them a single time, so no worries about thin walls or anything like that. The only negatives were that there are 4 flights of stairs (it’s a tall house with 3 levels), the twin beds were very uncomfortable (I slept in one one night and it was awful, but the kids thought they were fine), and they need some new pots and pans. Beds and pans are easy fixes. Overall great stay and Seaside Vacations were a pleasure to work with.
Very roomy. We’ll stocked kitchen and great view of the beach. Lots of climbing stairs so maybe not great for an older person. Plenty of parking. Excellent library of local books and walking distance to the pier with local food fishing and live music.
Very happy with house and location. The beach was wonderful and it was nice to be close to the supermarket. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We were disappointed that there was no propane gas grill. Just a charcoal grill was available.
