In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing. This log home is about a 40 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday). A about 35 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 15 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Approximately, 40 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 15 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood). The approach to this vacation rental is on a short, slightly steep paved road. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive for accessibility.
