We had a wonderful week in this special house. The views from the house -- as well as from the grounds looking back at the house -- are just wonderful. The property is beautiful, private, peaceful -- a delight. Inside there was space for everyone to spread out, and everything one could need in the kitchen. It was the perfect location for exploring the area; while one feels miles away from civilization while on the property, it's just a short drive for groceries, historical sites, and many other places of interest.

The house alone was impressive in layout and openness. There are many layers that were thoughtfully put into this house with art, recreation, and landscaping. It was never dull and every day was just as interesting as the first! When you first walk in you are greeted with an open clean space that is decorated with lots of interesting pieces of art that draw you in and bring you from room to room. There’s so much going on that I feel like I found something new to look at everyday. Our children immediately were in love with the large entertaining room with ping pong and board games. The windows facing the back open the place up with lots of life and wildlife viewing. We were greeted each morning with deer, turkeys, birds, and fox. It made for a wonderful morning! The grounds had beautiful flowers and hardscape that were as equally impressive as the inside. We spent a lot of time admiring outside. The pool was clean and the rooms were great as well. Highly recommend!

What a view! The place and space is beautiful, private, and serene. We were delighted to find the Bauhaus as a home base for exploring the early America sites of our ancestors. Bedford was perfect for our daily travels to Boston, Boylston, Concord, Danvers, Salem, Sudbury, etc. We had excellent takeout meals and enjoyed eating them together and recapping our day at the large dining table. We had ample room in the house. We liked that many of us could be in the kitchen at the same time to make coffee, prep own breakfast, load dishwasher, etc. The bedroom / bathroom arrangement suited our large group as well since we were four different groups of relatives traveling together. Madeleine is a great communicator. She answered all of our pre-arrival questions. This was our one large 'family trip' to see the sites, thus we won't be back again as a large group. however, if we were, we would want to rent the Bauhaus again.

This is a lovely, spacious house with an amazing view. There was plenty of room for all of us, the bedrooms were comfortable, and there is a great master suite on the ground level which was accessible for the members of my family who do not climb stairs easily. The house is set back from the road which gives it a wonderful sense of privacy. Very relaxing!

Words cannot even describe the incredible visit we had to Massachusetts and our stay in this home. The land the house sits on is breathtaking, the Concord River a short walk through these amazing woods. The home is spacious and expansive and holds a family so well. Specifics—the kitchen is outfitted with everything you could possibly think you might need! The bedrooms are awesome, large and open and the sheets and towels, pillows and bedding are great quality. The master bedroom is so great! I could spend a day just in the shower!!!! The living/communal areas are open and airy. And the land...I need to talk more about the land. It is inviting and safe and open. The views are spectacular. The neighborhood is quiet. I took early morning runs that took my breath away in how beautiful each day was. This is the best place I have ever stayed in while visiting MA. You will love it!
