Safe and clean place

Not horrific but not good. We stayed in the crappie cabin. Check in and check out were easy, communication with the host was perfect. But the cabin and resort it’s self wasnt the best. In the cabin the floors were so uneven and sinking that it felt like you were drunk walking all the time, we slipped a couple of times. The shower floor was disgusting and they don’t provide towels or anything. Seemed like just a place people party at on weekends. No smart tv like advertised (we didn’t watch tv anyway). Looked like it’s just been abandoned for years. Outside there was bug spray cans laying around, not sure if people left them on accident or if they just keep them there for everyone to use. We just use this cabin to sleep at while we adventured off, but totally not worth the $150 a night. Not a resort at all.

Host are very accommodating, nice and helpful. They are constantly working on improving the quality of these cabins and are very responsive. Nice boat dock to leave your boat, but it is located in a busy wake zone - bring extra boat bumpers with you if you want to leave it docked overnight. Cabins are small, but have all the essentials: window A/C, WIFI internet, stove, fridge, microwave, outside grill and fireplace, forks and plates, bedsheets. You will need to bring your own towels.

We loved staying in the Crappie Cabin and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Such a cozy, peaceful resort and right on the beautiful river. Gayla was always quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful.

Gayla communicated well and check in was easy. The cabin was clean with the exception of ants in the bathroom. The location was close to the beach and bars/restaurants. I was not happy with the pontoon rental, which was old, dirty, and smelled like mold. We did enjoy using the fire pit and also sitting down by the river. We would stay here again.
