Lovely home and base camp for our first time visit to Lake Placid to see the total eclipse. Sharon's home is well cared for, very comfortable and with nice amenities. My husband and I felt right at home and would definitely stay at the cottage again!

Place was exactly as described was perfect for 2 adults and 2 dogs nice completely fenced yard with longer driveway so we werent parking on the street trying to load and unload stuff also had a nice binder set up with lots of helpful tips on the property as well as recommendations for the area from dining to hiking host was also extremely responsive and also checked to verify i recieved the emails and associated paperwork. Absolutely worth the stay

Great, pet friendly, place to stay within walking distance of downtown Lake Placid. My pup appreciated the fenced in yard. Very clean throughout with a well appointed kitchen with pantry staples. Clawfoot tub is beautiful, but it is difficult to get in and out of and creates a tight showering experience.

The cottage is in a perfect location. We stayed here over President’s Day Weekend with our two young daughters and small dog. The size was just right for our family. The cottage surprisingly stayed really warm and we loved using the small fire in the living room. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was excellent. There is only one closet with a high railing for clothing. This space is also used for extra sheet storage. Each bedroom has one small dresser to unload your clothes. If you’re not a clotheshorse and over-packer like me this shouldn’t be a problem. The host was really responsive and was very flexible with our check in time. The place was super clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! I would definitely recommend this cottage to any young family or for a couple wanting a romantic getaway visiting Lake Placid.
