A great stay! The home had everything we needed (including things we hadn’t even thought about!). It was lovely and clean when we arrived. We had 7 adults and 2 children in our group but the house is so spacious we still had our own space. The kids loved exploring the house and the gardens and there was a good selection of games (and the pool table) to keep us occupied on a rainy day! It’s pretty close to town so we were able to easily wander down to the shops if we needed anything. We had a great time at Jerrys place and will definitely be booking again!

This is a fantastic house in an excellent location. The stay was an absolute pleasure and the pool table was a particular highlight. We found the kitchen to be well stocked - certainly, enough to do a roast for 11 people - and the house was very spacious. I also found the host very quick to respond to queries which is always a plus. If I was looking to book a stay in Ambleside for my extended family and I in the future I would almost certainly try and rebook this property.

Great location, good sized property to host a large family. Property needs updating and property wasn’t clean when we arrived. This was rectified 2 days in.

This is an impressively sized property in a great location, with great indoor and outdoor space. If I'm being super critical, it's clear that this property had a lot of money spent on it some years ago, but it's now looking a little tired in a number of areas and could do with some new soft furnishings downstairs and a lick of paint throughout. That being said, it's a very homely house, that (with the exception of some shortages in pots, pans and baking trays) is very well equipped and was perfect for a long weekend in Ambleside.
