We had a wonderful stay at the Wood Street Retreat! The location was perfect for our needs and the apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The host knew our arriving time, it was the middle of the night at 2 a.m, but didn't care to warm the room up, there was only 17 degrees inside! It was very damp, cold and smelled of mold. We swiched on the heating immediately, but it didn t work! We thought that it probably takes some time and because of tiredness we went to sleep. I woke up at 5 am because of coldness and the terrible smell and couldn t sleep anymore. The bathroom was so cold, that I turned on the hot water to at least get the bathroom a little bit warmed up. We didn t want to spend any minute longer in there. On the walls you could see stains of mold , and all around the apparment there were so many damp collectors and that only confirms, that the appartment is very abandoned. It was quite a toxic environment we had to spend a night in, pretty sure it does not meet the hygiene standards of any guest houses or hotels.

There was so much damp in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area. I was glad we only stayed for 1 night. There was a lot of noise in the early hrs of the morning from people at the back of the property. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Cute little hideaway, a 2 minute stroll to the straights and popular bars and restaurants. The flat has everything you will need. Nice and quiet area. Wish we’d arrived earlier to explore in daylight. Would stay again. Thanks Jenny
