We had a lovely stay at the Herdsman Hut. Ellen and Tom couldn’t be more helpful, giving recommendations for local places to eat and for walks to do in the local area with maps included! Very friendly and the location is great! Beautiful views and only a 15min drive into Canterbury. We were even able to buy some burgers made fresh on the farm! Will definitely be returning!

My partner and I had a wonderful time! We will definitely be coming back later in the year, Ellen and Tom were great hosts, Ellen was friendly and kindly supplied us with local recommendations and fresh juice and milk, Tom showed us around the cow pens and was very insightful. We were also greeted by a friendly cat and chicken. Highly recommended to all people wanting a private and peaceful getaway.

A wonderful stay with Ellen on the farm, a lovely peaceful spot. Scenery is stunning and the hut was so cute and immaculate! Within easy reach of plenty of day trips, it’s perfectly located. We loved our stay in the Herdsmen Hut!

We’re very grateful to Ellen and Tom who made our weekend away so relaxing. Their guest house is a beautiful little space on their farm, with large windows facing over the fields - perfect for a sunrise awakening if you keep the blinds up. Tom greeted us on our evening arrival to make sure we were all settled with our own parking space and to show us the accommodation. Close to the farm house but felt very private with its own little gate and pathway. The hut was beautifully presented and completely as Ellen had described in the bio. The wood burner and outdoor fire pit were both fully stocked, ideal for our two night stay in March. We enjoyed a quiet evening in on the Friday with the cows 200m away providing some rural ambience. Saturday we cycled to Margate and back ( via Peters Fish and Chips 10/10!) on road bikes, approx an 80k round trip. Saturday evening we cooked some of Ellen and Toms own burgers over the fire pit - DELICIOUS! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
