We are local and rented this townhouse while reno’s we’re taking place at our place for 2 weeks early February. We asked for early check in but we’re told the furnace had an issue and someone was fixing it. Checked in at 3 after being told the furnace was fine, to find no heat in the house. Spoke with Zee who sent a worker out at 7 pm. That person told us he couldn’t fix and tech would come out next day. Given that it was 13 degrees in the house we left for a hotel. The next day we assumed that the furnace was being fixed however when we returned at 3 pm..still no heat in the house and no one even working on it. Zee then told us they were having a hard time getting a hold of their ‘technician’ and could not give an ETA. In my opinion it is unacceptable to be renting a place and not have an HVAC company for service calls. We were left without heat for over 24hrs and if we hadn’t had the means for a hotel, and to book a new place for the week, we would have been screwed.

Beautiful, spacious, corner unit. Very clean, modern and comfortable. We stayed here for 1 week with our 4 kids and it was lovely! Everything we needed was there and access to Starbucks, the grocery store, the welcome centre and other local shops was just a few minutes’ walk away. If you want to save yourself some time, I’d suggest arranging for a guest pass for the pool, before you get there. If you’re renting, you will not have access to the pool or beach club unless you request it from the owner. There is an extra fee for this, but in my opinion, it’s worth getting. Especially if you’ve got kids. We did not visit the beach because we were told that there are many zebra muscles in the water and they’re very sharp. We didn’t expect this and did not bring water shoes. So, if you’d like to swim in the lake, bring along some water shoes! Check-in and check-out was done with Aly, who was absolutely wonderful and very helpful! Overall, a great experience!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this luxurious Friday Harbour Resort townhouse. The space is very large and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Both Zee and Aly were a pleasure to deal with and quick to respond to our questions. Our family of seven ranges in age from 7 to 67 years of age. All of us had a fantastic time. Zee was kind enough to allow us to bring our own boat and use his private dock at the townhouse. The boating on Lake Simcoe was tremendous and Harbour Marina was very helpful and friendly. The construction in the complex didn't impact our vacation at all. The townhouse renters are able to use shops/restaurants, golf course (for an additional fee), beach, beach kids playground, beach activities (chess, Jenga, bean bag toss, volley ball, basketball, kayaks, canoes, etc.), beach blue muskoka chairs, and the Beach Cafe Walk-Up Window. The cafe is a bit pricey and accepts cash/debit/credit. They have really yummy food, such as wraps, salads, burgers, chicken fingers, fries, etc. Be sure to bring your own beach towels if you plan to use the beach. The towels at the townhouse are pristine white and shouldn't be used at the beach. The resort is a lovely safe, welcoming and quiet atmosphere surrounded by nature. Our family would definitely rent this place again. Thank you Zee and Aly for helping us have a great family vacation at Friday Harbour Resort.
