A's place is very convenient for people visiting New York and trying to get to Manhattan. There are a few bakeries and deli shops around for a quick bite.

Really nice family! Everyone is hospitable! The room is exactly the same as the picture posted and bigger than we expected. The location is near the station and so convenient for traveling! Cats are so cute! I really miss them! They just like know me before! Come to us like want to play with me.

This is an honest review/experience. I must have skipped over the part where the description said that we’d be staying with the host, but yes you are living with the host. The place is beautiful, BUT it reeks of dog feces and there’s dog and cat hair everywhere! When I arrived to the place we received a warm welcome from A and her daughter. They also replaced a popped air mattress very quickly which we did appreciate. We ate two bananas from her kitchen because we thought they were complimentary and she messaged me for it. I apologized and offered to replace them, but she refused. In the description the ONLY house rules are to keep the doors locked at all times. Later on, during our stay, she began adding more rules stating that the common area cannot be used past 10pm. The common area: the lights, the kitchen, and the lounging area. Be mindful that we bought our groceries to cook AND we are literally out at church all day and come back to the house around 11pm. She has no microwave. To respect the host, I messaged her asking if it was okay to use the stove even though it was part of what we paid for. She never responded and even came back home looking upset that we were using the stove. AND THEN instead of speaking to us we found out that she removed all of the knobs on the stove when we were about to make breakfast the following morning and then tried justifying it by saying that we left her gas stove on WHICH was very false. She is very bad with communication; she doesn’t address any issues and then gives the excuse that because she is a single mother working 4 jobs she doesn’t have the time to “remind” us of the rules WHICH we knew nothing about. After all these incidents (including me calling Airbnb to report her), she was very rude. During our last night there we came home very late and then she had the audacity to tell us that the common area is closed and that we needed to leave the area at once. At that point, I was fed up. I didn’t show it but I definitely responded. Basically, she is very unprofessional and that should’ve been noticed since she literally just joined Airbnb this year. The place smells like dog feces with dog and cat hair everywhere. She lacks communication skills, is rude, and honestly if you are looking for a place to stay for school consider this your perfect place BUT if you are looking at this place for a vacation home I’m telling now to abort the mission and look elsewhere.
