We loved staying here and had an amazing time - it had everything we needed and more. The welcome pack was really generous and there was lots of information about local walks. I hope we are able to come back sometime, it was fantastic!

Gem cottage is wonderful! The downstairs feels cosy and upstairs the bedrooms are well separated meaning that everyone could have their own space and privacy. The hosts were super helpful with any questions and left the most amazing welcome hamper. The cottage is well situated for walks and we particularly enjoyed walking to see the Bleaklow Bomber. I'd happily stay here next time we visit the Peak District and will recommend to friends.

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay at Martins and Gills Gem cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful village with a pub, restaurant and stunning walks very close. The cottage was spotless, great amenities and we even received a welcome hamper of goodies on arrival (including freshly made cakes!). We were are a party of four, three adults and my seven month old baby!- the cottage couldn't be more perfect and provided a great place to come back to after long walks exploring the peak district. We visited towns and walks nearby with ease. Thank you so much Martin and Gill, we would LOVE to come back. Elise and gang. X

We (A family of 4 plus a dog) had a wonderful time at Gem Cottage. The location is peaceful with the river flowing in front of the cottage. Inside it was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and left us lots of essentials (milk/bread/tea etc) plus some extra Easter treats which were very much appreciated. The children loved the log burner and playing in the quirky loft room! There are fantastic walks from the cottage (up snake path and back down along the river via the reservoir) and only a short drive from Edale. We would definitely recommend this cottage, and hope to come back to it soon as we love the Peaks! We had an excellent dinner in the Sportsman Pub which is 5mins walk away.
