This place is best for people who wish to spend a quiet time away from the hustling & bustling tourist areas. One can stay here and reach different places on public transport. There were a couple of glitches with the AC upstairs and the kitchenette downstairs but I would not consider that as a deal breaker. Overall I had a pleasant stay very close to nature - it feels & sounds the best at night with fireflies all around the property and you can expect a dragon or two giving you company if you are having breakfast out in the open.

Когда мы приехали, на вилле уже проживали другие люди. И хозяин с невозмутимым видом, будто всё супер, открыл нам коморку на первом этаже, где похоже никто не жил со времён колонизаторов, похожа на подсобку для инвентаря. Внутри мрачно, запах плесени, сантехника убитая и в нерабочем состоянии. Открываешь дверь и сразу упираешься в кровать, у кровати три сломанных стула и всё, такого размера помещение. Из указанной "кухни" только жутко грязный холодильник, который вонял на всю комнату даже в закрытом виде и ржавый чайник, к которому страшно прикоснуться, по сути там страшно прикоснуться ко всему, начиная с дверной ручки, абсолютно всё грязное и ржавое. И всё это безобразие хозяин сдал нам за 3000 руб в сутки! Это прикол? Насмешка? Или что? На что он вообще надеялся? Неужели всерьёз думал что мы ничего не заметим и поверим что "это" и есть прекрасная вилла? На недоумение с нашей стороны, был ответ от хозяина: для вас только это место. (типа "ваше место у параши"). Мы приехали в обед и слава богу до вечера сумели найти другое жильё через аирбнб. Но даже спустя неделю бросает в дрожь воспоминание о 15-минутном пребывании в том бомжатнике. Подали жалобу в тех.поддержку, прикрепили фото, нам вернули полную стоимость. Искренне хочу предостеречь путешественников, остерегайтесь этого хозяина, если он обманул однажды, значит будет обманывать снова, ведь такое у людей не лечится.

This was our first time in Sri Lanka. The villa was as described, large comfortable bed with AC and hot water, which were very much appreciated during our stay in December. The climate is very humid. We booked both upstairs and downstairs (2 adults + 1 small child), but only really used upstairs, as there is separate entrance. Wolley has a wonderful family who cooked delicious local meals for us, very healthy and tasty. During lunchtime our children could play together in the big natural garden, which was added bonus. Wolley is very reliable and speaks good english, we did airport transfers and half day trip with him. We had few small problems (electricity/water) but Wolley managed to resolve them quickly. Kitchen is outside and there will be animals and insects around, mosquitoes are plenty, so don't forget the repellent. We brought our own pots and used them, as kitchen looked a bit neglected and unused. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Wolley's place.

The house and garden are nice, however we found the price very high for the quality and we had some experiences that gave us the feeling as if they were trying to get the most money out of it and where not honest with us at all time. First, when we arrived, another couple had just arrived and one floor was prepared for them, while we were getting the other floor. We asked how that could be as we thought we had rented the whole house. Than suddenly the other couple was brought somewhere else. It felt a bit like they were trying to sell the house twice if we had not complained. Furthermore we had some miscommunication about the airport transfer that according to the room desciription was included in the price and than turned out to cost 9000 rps. The owner first said that it was stated in the description that it was not included, but I knew for sure that it had been changed since we booked. When we perservered on that, he admitted that he had changed the text and offered us a discount. The house is nice, with a nice balcony but not very well mainainted; broken shower, broken toilet, broken chairs (which are repaired in the mean time). The garden is very nice, with beautiful nature surroundings and close to the beach. The beach itself is quiet and maybe not the most pretty of the Sri Lankan coast, but still a nice place to be. The food is good and really fair prices.
