Don’s cottage was ideal! We stayed here for a month with our dogs and he was a kind and gracious host. It was fate, because we were trying out different neighborhoods to see wear we might want to buy a home in Seattle…and Don is a realtor! He was knowledgeable about the area and genuinely seemed to enjoy sharing recommendations/hosting visitors. The cottage is thoughtful, comfortable, and modern. It’s also very private, at no point did we feel like we were living in someone’s backyard. The location is a pleasant walk to the top of Queen Anne (the crown) and across the Fremont bridge. Don’t miss the Smash That Burger food truck at the bottom of the hill at Rooftop Brewing. It was a lovely stay a great way to explore Seattle!

Don is a great host, and the place is beautiful. It is in a great neighborhood with nice bonus views of Seattle.

The property itself is beautiful. Everything is very modern and the views are stunning. The property sits on a rather steep hill and if you have more than 1 vehicle, you’ll need to split parking between the front of the property and the back of the property. This unit would be most ideal for adults and older children (able to walk up and down stairs independently). If you’re planning a longer stay, be mindful that there is limited storage space and cooking space. It can be difficult to prepare full meals with the space provided. Also, be absolutely sure of your travel dates. Once you’ve booked, the host is not willing to modify the reservation for earlier checkout and the “cancellation policy” does not allow for refunds. You will be charged for all unused days and you won’t be given permission to modify the checkout date to an earlier day. I’d give the unit a 10/10 for appearance/cleanliness , 8/10 for functionality, and 3/10 for willingness of host to meet changing needs.

We loved the rooftop deck and even saw a rainbow while we were there. Lots of fresh linen and towels, very clean, cool aesthetic and lovely views from the place too. We were there for a family wedding and it was a great spot to explore Seattle and the surrounding neighborhoods while also having a home base. Don was a very responsive and friendly host. Thanks for a lovely stay!
