The cabin was nice and clean. Location was great. Short ride to town and trail head to engineer pass. Resort itself felt tight but others in town were just as. Parking if you have truck and trailer could have been better. They have a back part to property that is used for burn piles and collection of fencing and maintenance for property. If that was cleaned up more there would have been more room for all the truck and trailers. Over all we enjoyed the experience.

While we had a great time and appreciate the use of the cabin, there are a few things I wish would have been made aware to me prior to arrival. I’ll list them for others. The “private fishing” mentioned is also shared with many other users due to the location of the cabin... in the Texan resorts. The cabin is nestled in between MANY other cabins and people with frequent ATV/OHV vehicle traffic. If you are looking for a group gathering with multiple cabins, this is your place. The bright red Texan sign shines in the living room and bedroom windows. There is no way to cover the living room windows, allowing anyone to see inside. There is no daily service or towel replacement. An outlet in the kitchen requires some maintenance, and we did not use this due to the fear of possible malfunction and consequences. The balcony pictured is near impossible to get to due to the difficulty of getting the door to open. There is no hot water after 1 person showers. Check out states 11 am on the booking, but the signs in the cabin state 10 am. I found the listing misleading for the location; however, the cabin is roomy and provides a great place for a family vacation depending on your personal preference.

Porch and neighbors were great. Other than that, not so much. This cabin in actually part of the "Texan Resort", which is never stated. Kitchen supplies very sparse, Wi-fi and DISH virtually non-existent, information concerning how/where/when to get supplies, etc. also not provided. Had to track someone down the first day to get some basic necessities for the cabin. Office closes at 3:00 but you can't check-in until after 3:00, so there is no one there to provide you with information upon your arrival. No map of the cabin locations or other places on the property. Office is located in the middle of the 30-40 cabins there, but there is nothing posted to indicate where it is. We spent a lot of time wandering around looking for where we were to go. Parking at cabin very limited, but there is a parking lot on the property (once we found it).
