Our stay at Mary and John's cottage was nothing short of amazing. They welcomed us warmly, making us feel instantly at home. Their exceptional hospitality shone through, especially with the delightful fresh baked cookies, bread and vegetables from their garden. The cottage itself was a dream - beautifully decorated with a keen eye for detail and spotlessly clean. It combined modern comforts with rustic charm in a way that was both inviting and relaxing. I miss that fire place! Nestled in a secluded and breathtaking location, the cottage provided a tranquil and refreshing escape. This is by far the best airbnb experience that we’ve ever had. We can highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a special getaway.

How do we describe our stay in less than a thousand words? We stayed four nights in this lovely rental. The inside was spacious with hotel like finishings and had everything we needed. The woodstove was a fantastic feature to relax in front of after long days of exploring. The grounds of Fermoyle Lodge where absolutely stunning with short walking trails that take you through forests and well maintained planted gardens with a huge variety of plants and trees that obviously took generations of effort and planning. The views from the Terrace were brilliant, overlooking a lake and the rugged wild landscape that defines the Connemara region. In advance of our stay, Mary sent us a comprehensive list of things to do/see, shop and eat in the area and made sure we were happy after check in as she was not on site during our stay. We had a wonderful time exploring the west coast of Ireland from the Old House. It is in a remote spot, surrounded by fantastic landscape and beautifully done up. Mary was very easy to communicate with, and full of recommendation of things to do, places to visit, as well as places to eat in, which we very much appreciated.

The Old House is a quaint quiet escape offering excellent access to all that Connemara has to enjoy. The space was warm and cosy and the bed very comfortable. Mary and John made us extremely welcome and offered superb advice for things to see and were able to tailor recommendations for our needs. So enjoyable was our stay that we would love to return in the future! Thank you again Mary and John!
