Voor ons was het de eerste keer dat we in Zuid-Italië waren. De gastvrijheid van Umberto en Clelia heeft diepe indruk gemaakt. Clelia heeft fantastisch gekookt voor ons en Umberto staat werkelijk altijd klaar voor wat dan ook! Ze hebben samen een wandeltocht door Napels voor ons uitgestippeld wat gepaard ging met een mooi gesprek over het reilen en zeilen in Zuid-Italië. Laat ik vooral niet vergeten te melden dat er in het verblijf aan werkelijk niets ontbreekt, we werden verwelkomd met een goed gevulde koelkast en drankjes in alle soorten en maten. Het was een hartverwarmende ervaring en wij komen hier zeker weten weer terug!

Fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Umberto en Clelia. Het huis is mooi en superschoon. en van alle gemakken voorzien. alles wat je naar kan wensen is aanwezig, inclusief een volle koelkast bij aankomst :). je kunt heerlijk in de tuin zitten. onze kinderen hebben genoten van de citrusbomen en de hangmatten. De omgeving is niet super toeristisch, dat vinden wij juist leuk. Met de auto is er genoeg te doen. zeker een aanrader!

Words cannot begin to adequately describe how beautiful a time my family and I had staying with Umberto and Clelia in their magnificent home. Fresh figs picked directly from their tree and fresh pastries from their local bakery welcomed us the first morning of our arrival, and this was just the tip of the iceberg. They welcomed us as if we were truly family, they shared with us their lives their passions their history and their home and have quite literally left an impression on us that is bound to stand the test of time. Clelia made for us truly the best meal I had in all of Italy (and believe me we ate a lot so this is no casual remark) Umberto quite literally solved all of our issues for travel including, but not limited to, accompanying us to Napoli to ensure we made our ferry from the port to the isle of Ischia. (As my Italian is not very good) This couple embodies generosity of the highest degree. I feel with every bone in my body, that if ever I could recommend a home or hosts whom will leave you feeling truthfully lucky to have met, it is Umberto and Clelia. Pack your bags, take this trip. I know for certain I will come back to visit them for I believe they represent the best Italy this world may offer. To the king and his queen; Grazie per il mondo che ci hai dato!

Umberto e Clelia sono stati deliziosi, ci hanno continuato a sorprendere giorno dopo giorno con la loro gentilezza e cordialità e ci hanno messo il 100% per farci sentire come se fossimo degli ospiti a casa di amici. La struttura è tenuta benissimo e dimostra quanta attenzione Clelia e Umberto ci mettano a far sentire i propri ospiti a proprio agio, infatti la struttura era super fornita di tutto ciò che può servire per soggiornarvi e anche di più. Sicuramente torneremo, almeno per un saluto!

Staying at Umberto and Clelia's wonderful 'Corte del Mulino' was an extraordinary experience in the best possible way. The house is fantastic, but it was the hosts and their hospitality that made our stay unforgettable. The house itself dates back to 1725 and is filled with all kinds of memorabilia and creative ideas that makes the house interesting, charming and truly unique. In addition to this, there is thought about all the needs a guest could possibly have. In the kitchen we found the fridge and cupboards filled with food, snacks, wine, water and softdrinks. And there was thought of vegans and those with gluten allergy as well. In the bedrooms there were free minibars, bathrobes, and packets with all kinds of toiletries - including brush and toothbrush, nail polish, insect repellent and much more. We could have arrived without anything but our clothes and we wouldn´t have lacked a thing. The outside matched the interior with a large well equipped pool area with sunbeds, chairs, sun shade and more. We couldn't have asked for more, but we got so much more. On a daily basis, Clelia and Umberto would bring us fruit, snacks, vegetables, ice cream and Clelias homemade dishes. Clelia is an excellent cook and we enjoyed the best pastas of our stay in Italy at our own terrace. They were very helpful with advice about where to go and what to see and they also arranged for a guide for our trip to Pompeii. They did all this while at all times remaining attentive to our privacy. We left Corte del Mulino feeling we had gained a new friendship and hoping to come back soon.
