A bright architectural country home with a barn like feel set in the beautiful countryside near Dalwood, Devon. Stunning views over the valley seen from a fully landscaped garden as well as a massive great room with 30 foot windows. Four comfortable bedrooms, open-plan kitchen and cozy fireplace round out this fantastic home in a very bucolic setting near tons of great activities and sights. The highlight of this home is an architectural green oak barn-like structure with high glass windows overlooking a beautiful valley just between Honiton and Axminster. The large windows make living in the home wonderful and bright in all types of weather. The home is located in a tiny cluster of cottages just outside of Dalwood in a rural and tranquil setting. The house is a comfortable four bedroom home. The master suite offers a super-king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor, both with french doors opening to the garden and sharing a family bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Upstairs there is a magical bedroom with a balcony, private bathroom and wonderful views. All beds other than the super-king master are king sized and furnished with comfortable 100% linen bedding. Though we can accommodate eight in the house we feel it is more comfortable with six people. The common area of the house is fantastic. The main room is a 720 square foot room with large living area, dining table and fully- equipped kitchen. The fireplace is central to the room and we have plenty of wood at your disposal. We have a 48 inch television downstairs and many games and puzzles. This room has three sets of doors that open out onto the terrace making the space feel completely indoor- outdoor. The vaulted ceiling is about 30 feet at its highest with a skylight providing more light. It should be noted that there is just the one common area in the house, so if you stay here plan for togetherness. Upstairs overlooking the great room we have a gallery with a cozy TV area boasting of a 65 inch television. Both TVs in the home have Sky and are Netflix and Amazon enabled. Our landscaped grounds offer an outdoor dining area right outside the kitchen and a cozy fire pit area just below the dining area. We have a wrap around terrace with views over the valley which is often filled with cows or sheep. The landscaping includes a large lawn and wild meadow fields surrounding a small stream. We have a beautiful back woods worth having a wander around. We also have a garage with an extra refrigerator and chest freezer. The cobblestoned driveway comfortably holds 2-3 cars with one space available inside the garage and more parking available on the street. Dalwood is a short and lovely walk away and has a charming pub, The Tuckers Arms- it’s a perfect 45 minute loop from our home (without a pub stop!). There are several other circular walks in the area.
