Annie Laurie's place was such a wonderful house to stay at while visiting Waco and this area of Texas. The room was very clean and inviting with a nice comfortable bed. There was a pool and backyard with patio to eat breakfast or other meal. Annie each morning cooked us a delicious breakfast. The bathroom was private with a nice shower. Annie Laurie's place was the perfect place to stay while in this part of Texas.

Our second time at Marlinlago. We enjoy the comfy bed, delicious breakfast and Annie Laurie and Jim’s hospitality. The location is great, quiet and peaceful. We will return on another visit to Marlin.

Annie Laurie and Jim are the most amazing hosts you could ask for! They are up for conversation if you are, or willing to give you privacy and space if that is what you want. The breakfasts were top notch every single day! And that pool! Wow!! The bed was super comfortable and everything was just perfect! Highly recommend them! I hope we can return another time!

The hosts, Jim & Laurie, and their place are the stuff that storybooks are made of! It may be the cleanest place you’ll ever stay. Laurie is a self-proclaimed germophobe in the best possible way for her guests. The house is not only super clean, but also fresh and stylish with a cool mid-century/70’s vibe. The beautiful grounds—landscaping and pool—are first-rate and meticulously cared for. And the breakfast—get-outa-town and straight to Marlin-Lago for the BEST! They serve breakfast poolside with fresh eggs—Jim gathers them every morning and Laurie cooks them up expertly. Yes, they have chickens, but the place is not too “farmy”. You can count on uniquely delicious home baking, original recipes, something delectably different every day— whether sumptuously sweet or satisfyingly savory it’s always truly gourmet. This Airbnb veteran can attest that the service they provide is unmatched. So much to do in the area, Jim & Laurie and their place make it a 10-star destination. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
