We had a great time at Sophie’s place. It was everything we expected it to be - stunning views, a lovely cottage steeped in history, great swimming pool etc. My son fell in love with the hen and the dog and we had a lovely walk along the river with a great meal in the town too at Le Petit Auberge. Sophie and her family were very friendly, with some of her grandchildren also making use of the pool while we were there. We didn’t mind this as they always checked if it was ok with us and we were a family with children anyway. The bedrooms can get a little hot upstairs but were fine with the windows open at night and no mozzies to worry about. Plus fans are provided too. Thanks again Sophie!

We had a lovely stay at Sophie’s place. The grounds are beautiful and there is lots to explore. The town nearby has all the amenities you need and there is lots of see and do in the surrounding area. Sophie was an excellent host and we would happily stay there again.

Coming from London England to find Sophie’s was an absolute pleasure, peaceful and the surrounding views were amazing, the forest on one side and Lake on the other and greenery as far as the eye could see. The house is well stocked with all the utensils you could ever need… the swimming pool was perfect, clean and well maintained, real gem of a place and worth every penny… just disappointed we did not book for longer… will definitely be returning, Sophie is lovely and an excellent host, would give higher stars if we could, 8 adults stayed, only down side was one of the smaller bedrooms had no table or small bedside cabinets in there, plenty of hot running water at all times, Sophie’s is out of the way, but close enough to get anywhere to do some sight seeing with a short drive, roads very quiet and just driving around the area was quiet and peaceful, loved every minute of our time there and made friends with the Chicken and Sophie’s dog, who came and said morning everyday

We had a fabulous week here with three generations of my family. A beautiful, traditional French house that is well equipped. There are 30 hectares of woodland and river front to explore and only a short walk along the river to town. Sophie couldn't have been more helpful with advice about the local area and was very accommodating in letting our boys use her paddle boards and canoes on the river, which for them was the highlight. Thank you Sophie!

Wat een fantastische plek! Heerlijk rustig en zoveel ruimte. Privé zwembad, een huis met alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig en in de verte lopen de herten op het terrein. Met de kajak de rivier op en ‘s ochtends lopend je stokbrood en croissantjes halen. We hebben een topweek gehad!
