Wow, what an incredible place you have created right in the heart of the Daintree. Hats off to you, Matt! We loved hearing all the beautiful bird calls, walking to the creek, the delicious, exotic fruit platters and getting to hear Matt’s stories. We felt right at home. We were also treated to an unforgettable sound healing bath by Mary and her partner from the Shamanic Love Tribe, which was the most magical experience. Can’t wait to come back again.

We spent a wonderful time surrounded by the Daintree rainforest in the lovely Golden Orchid Cottage! Matt was always happy to help us with where we could go during the day, or with our onward journey. He had extremely valuable tips.

Matt was an amazing host! Greatest tropical fruit breakfast spread and the best view from any place we have ever stayed. Made us feel right at home. And great local tips. Tropical mountain paradise! We will be back.

We had an amazing stay as a couple in the separate cabin. Everything was so peaceful, the cabin was fantastic and we felt very comfortable, considering this is an off-grid house. The national park is right at the edge of the cabin, hearing the rainforest wake up in the night was delightful and if you are lucky you may receive a visit from one of the cassowaries sharing territory on the property. We were woken up by birdsongs every morning, a naughty gecko would sometimes come around. The shared breakfast was a delight and plentiful. Matt did not hesitate to offer incredibly helpful touring advice and he made incredible effort to welcome everyone in his home. This was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommand staying there. Thank you so much.

We had a lovely stay at Matt’s b&b. The accommodation was located in a peaceful location in amongst the rainforest with easy car access to all the main attractions in the area. Rooms were clean and good amenities available for use. The tropical breakfast was delicious and a great chance to meet and talk with the other guests. Matt was super helpful with lots of suggestions of what to do, and helped with booking any tours as needed- with Matt going above and beyond to make sure all his guests were looked after and satisfied with their stay. Would definitely recommend a stay at Matt’s place if you’re looking for a nice and peaceful stay in the Daintree surrounded by friendly company :)
