We required a large property for a 4 generation family gathering. Penblaith Barn ticked all the boxes and more. The location and surrounding countryside was stunning. The drive up to the property was breathtaking and just as described. There were plenty of car parking places including charge points for our two EV vehicles (foc). The internal space was exceptional with areas for peace and quiet even with 14 adults and one infant. The family diner & bar were the ideal place for family breakfast, dinner and cocktails. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The entrance hall was warm & welcoming with beautiful oak stairwell and balconies. All the rooms were luxurious with en suite bathrooms ( I slept in Oak room - fabulous!). I cannot stress enough how wonderful Penblaith Barn was four our stay. A really fantastic space for a family reunion for the weekend. It was perfect for our group which had an age range of 2- 80 years old, catering to all of our needs exceptionally well. The games room is great if the younger ones want their own space and the large sitting rooms were also perfect for the whole family to sit together in the evenings. We ventured to Symonds Yat Rock for a walk along the river, sadly due to the high water level the ferry wasn’t running, but was still a beautiful countryside route which everyone found manageable. The hot tub is a great bonus with lovely views and we even held a morning ‘bootcamp’ on the lawn outside! The Hostelrie at Goodrich was also good for Sunday lunch (we ordered ahead to save time). The hosts were brilliant, very helpful and keen to ensure we had a relaxing stay. We will be back in future, thank you!
