We stayed here a little less than a month, at check in it was hard to get a hold of him. But after that I had no problems. And if we needed something he figured out how to get it to us. He also came in to make sure all the heaters were working properly because he saw that the temperature might drop that night, so everyone would be comfortable.

Our stay started off fine in Matt’s place. But, a couple days into our week stay it became miserable. This house is split into 4 rentals. There’s a renter beside and 2 above. The renter beside us had a dog that barked for long periods of time during sleeping hours. The dog would bark at all hours- 11 pm, 2 am... This happened almost every night and we didn’t sleep well. Another night, a guy who seemed to be the cleaner came to clean the apartment directly above us around 11 pm! We could not sleep because of the barking dog and the guy vacuuming above us and moving furniture until past midnight. The guy also blared music in his car with the doors open while he was getting his supplies in and out. Another night we heard a loud bang around 5 am. The upstairs renter came out and said her ceiling collapsed into the apartment. She showed us pictures and said there was mold. Our TV didn’t work for 3 days. We killed two cockroaches and a tick was in the kids bed. Overall, not a good stay.

Matt himself is a great guy and responds to any needs very quickly. However, there were a few things that could be fixed. First, we did encounter a roach, just one, but very big. The dishes In the cabinets were not very clean and the Wi-Fi was horrendous. We stayed for a week and were without TV for the entire time. We were out and about often, to keep ourselves busy. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it worked okay for my family and I this time.

The location was great and the neighborhood felt safe during our three-month stay. When Matt says this house isn’t glitz or glam, he means it. There’s a reason this is on the cheaper side and after three months, we opted to move to a nicer place. There was a roach issue that Matt addressed immediately, however, we dealt with dead roaches throughout our stay. The internet was also not conducive to working from home.
