We spent two days in Melanie’s lovely house to take part in a bike ride. The house is really pretty ( enhanced by Melanie’s art we think) and we had everything we needed. It’s in a great location to explore the interesting town of Shrewsbury and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous - lots of cycling/walking/running spots to explore. The breakfast bits and bobs were a nice touch. Beds were super comfy for tired muscles too! We were made to feel very welcome, Melanie is a very good host.

The Annex is a great place to stay: cosy, homely, and well equipped with all you need and more (eggs, milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee, and fruit were kindly provided). A great location too - nice, short walk into town across the river, and river views with a patio. Would definitely recommend.

Was just what we wanted having spent the weekend singing in the city centre which is short walk. Comfortable beds. Woke up early on Saturday and was able to sit outside under cover reading with blanket and cushions overlooking the river. Really good value. No parking but were able to off load at front door and park nearby. Thanks Mel x

Comfortable and homely house, with a nice view of the river. It’s close to town, both beds were comfy and on street parking was easy. The only drawback is that the road is a bit noisy.
