Ruth is such a great host, you will feel at home right away. Everything in the house is clean, well maintained and organized. The neighborhood is calm and pretty. The room has a TV and a comfy queen bed + a small closet with hangers. The kitchen has all supplies you might need to cook a decent meal and Ruth is kind enough to let guests use it. The bathroom is very clean as well. The 190 NJ transit bus that takes you to New York is a 10-15 min walk away. The bus drops you off at the port authority in midtown Manhattan and the ride can take anywhere between 45 mins to 1h30 depending on traffic. if you are a light sleeper, BRING EARPLUGS. One because the house's walls are pretty thin so you could hear every single noise that happens on the same floor or upstairs. Two there's a school playground right next to the room and kids start shouting there at around 9am everyday. All in all, I definitely recommend Ruth's place if visiting NY or NJ but just keep in mind the points above.

Ruth was very helpful and offered a nice home. There are some supermarkets very close and a laundromat. You can take the bus down the road to drive to Port authority. Overall a nice experience

It was a great stay at Ruth’s place. It felt like home and she was always helpful and supportive. But also became a friend over 7 weeks. It was clean, cozy, good smelling and nice decorated!
