One of four cabins for those who want to unwind. A small Back to Basics Cabin, right of of Highway 173 and the foot of the Hill Country. For a relaxing stay or an adventure packed time in the area! Amazing scenery in the Hiills, the River Walk, The Alamo&Missions, Theme parks, Tubing, Hiking, Riding, etc. etc, it is all nearby! San Antonio 45min, Bandera 30min, Hondo 7min, Castroville 15 min, Concan 50-65min, Devine 15min. No social media, No Stress! Enjoy nature, birds, butterflies&flowers! Weekly & Monthly Specials!!! Enter the dates in the calendar to see the discounts. This 4-guest tiny house cabin is decorated with all sorts of Dutch items. It is the only cabin where the queen bed is situated in a separate bedroom. Furthermore it contains a bunk bed in the common area of the cabin. The colors are red, white and blue, as in the Dutch flag. The cabin has a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, water boiler, copperchef induction plate with a copperchef pan to prepare meals in (No oven!) and an a mini fridge with small separate freezing compartment, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, salt&pepper. Please note: We do NOT provide cooking oil! The private bathroom is in the middle part of the cabin and comes with towels, soap and toilet paper. We also provide bedding for the Queen and Bunk bed. The cabin has its own private porch with a picnic table and 2 chairs. The bbq pit sits right next to the porch. Parking is free and is on the left side of the cabin.

We enjoyed out stay at Caroline's place. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked. It was hot as heck outside and the A/C worked great! We liked the large front porch where our dogs could hang out. Caroline and her husband were great hosts and we look forward to staying there again.
This was a very nice place to stay. I would rent again, for sure.

This was the first time to stay. It was close to the ranch where we hunt so it was very convenient for us. Great place to stay everything in both of the cabins we rented were exactly what the pictures and descriptions said they would be. Very peaceful, private, and clean. The host was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We will be staying again next year when we come down to go hunting. We loved our stay!!!! Can’t wait to visit again!!!
If I could give a 1000 stars, I would. This was our second trip and I can't wait to go again!!! I told my husband, the last time I enjoyed myself this much was the last time we were there. Lovely place and absolutely stellar hospitality.!

There is lots to do in the area. The ranch is located near Hondo (7 min), Devine (15 min), Bandera (30 min), Castroville (15 min), Sabinal (30 min), Utopia (50 min), Concan (45 min) and San Antonio (45 min).
The Hondo Creek (12 min), The Medina River (30 min)&The Frio River (45-55 min depending on where on the Frio you want to go) are fairly close. Great for fishing, swimming, tubing&kayaking!!!
Enjoy picture hunting on and around the ranch and in the evenings make a campfire, roast marshmallows and gaze at the stars.
In the Hill Country, Bandera, Concan and San Antonio there is so much to do that it is just to much to describe it all but a few of the things to do or visit are Tubing, Zip-lining, Rodeos, Hiking, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, Antique shops&Restaurants.
Mountain biking and/or horse back riding in the State Natural Area (40 min) is a must do. There are trails everywhere in the 5300 plus acres park.
Lost Maples State Natural Area and Garner State Park (both 50-55 min) offer beautiful hiking&scenery too. At Garner State Park you can swim&float in the crystal clear Frio River and sometimes guests still jukebox dance at the park's concession building.
Enjoy the breathtaking colors of the leaves at Lost Maples State Natural Area in Autumn and hunt for geocaches&hike all year around.

Situated on 173 we are right at the bottom of the Texas Hill Country which is an amazing area to discover. Beautiful motor cycle and car routes (Ride the Twisted Sister tour!) are everywhere and start right outside the cabin. There are plenty of car rentals in San Antonio and there is even a possibility to rent a motor cycle about 35 minutes from the cabin. San Antonio airport is about 45 minutes from Hondo.

There are 3 State Parks in the nearby Hill Country offering breathtaking views, tubing, fishing, biking, horsebackriding&swimming and charming towns with great shopping&dining!
