Enjoy this gorgeous one-level, 3 bedroom/2 bath home located on a beautiful setting on 3 wooded acres at the end of a dead-end road close to I-35. The home is located near many great activities, such as 3 miles from the Willard Munger State trail, 4 miles from the Duluth Traverse bike trails, 3 miles from the Superior Hiking trail, 4 miles from Jay Cooke State Park, and 9 miles from Spirit Mountain. The home is only a short 15-minute drive to the Craft District and Lake Superior. This private home has a master suite on one side with a large master bathroom, complete with a tiled walk-in shower and a large closet. On the other side of the home, there are two bedrooms (one with two twin beds and one with a queen bed). There is a full bath located by these bedrooms and near the living room area. Enjoy the open living space with a gas fireplace, cozy leather furniture, and wood floors. There is a high-end kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven/range, and coffee pot along with a dining space to relax and eat. Off of the living room/kitchen area is a beautiful sunroom where you can enjoy a good book, game night, or shut the door to get work done. The garage is a large game room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, a 5000-game arcade machine, and a big-screen TV. Out back there is a patio with a grill and patio table to enjoy the large backyard. Newly added is a large wood-burning sauna with a changing room for you to kick back, relax, and unwind. There are two security cameras outside to protect the property and our guests. The home is warm and cozy and we hope you can make it feel like your own during your stay.

What a peaceful retreat! The home was relaxing and well designed and decorated. It met the needs of our family for our weekend stay and allowed us to relax and spend some quality time together. We would definitely return for an even longer stay!

The place was great. Very clean. Location was great near Duluth and Jay Cooke state park. Game room was so fun! One of the best airbnbs we have stayed in!
The house was beautiful just like the pictures and very clean. We met up with family from Duluth to celebrate a birthday. Our kids and grandchildren loved the game room, we also enjoyed playing board games that they had in the house. There was planting room for all of us to spread out. We also very much enjoyed the sauna and found it very easy to use. Definitely would recommend and would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the backyard.

Hi there! We are your hosts, Mark and Jamie Sams. We have been married for 23 years and have three children, Chloe 21, Chase 19, and Sienna 11. We have been living in the Duluth, MN area our whole lives. Although we have jobs as a medical sales consultant and interior designer, we have been working on designing and building homes for most of our married life. We thoroughly enjoy making our homes modern and comfortable because homes are meant to be an investment you want to love. We initially started hosting our cabin out as a way to make a little extra money when we weren’t there and through that, we have found that we really enjoy hosting and meeting all of our guests. We love providing a space where you can feel at home and be able to relax and enjoy the area. We pride ourselves in our homes as we do not go through a management company or use a cleaning company. We do all of the work ourselves, kids included. We do this to take out any other variable as we know how rare and precious vacation time is. We both love the outdoors, including mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and seeing all the sights. We currently have three vacation rental properties in Hayward, WI, Duluth, MN, and Esko, MN.
