We are just back from a truly fantastic week at lavender cottage. Susan and Martin are inspiring people and wonderful hosts who take a genuine pleasure in helping their guests have a super time. They gave us loads of tips on local things to do including a restaurant which we biked to and the food was out of this world.. The wine tour with Martin was awesome; down to earth, informative and inclusive - and a chance to see the French wine industry at its authentic best. We also really enjoyed the delicious welcome meal and breakfast. Lavender cottage is perfect. Clean, well equipped and spacious. We loved the private garden and also the swimming pool, the shared garden was also a delight( delicious tomatoes and courgettes). Thank you Sue and Martin for an unforgettable holiday- we will be back and we recommend you unreservedly to all!

Nuestra estancia en Bumblebee ha sido uno de los highlights de nuestras vacaciones en Francia, sin duda repetiríamos y lo recomendaríamos! Nos alojamos una semana con nuestro bebé de 5 meses en la cabaña Lavanda y no podría haber sido mejor. Con acceso, parking y jardín privados, disfrutamos también de la piscina compartida con el resto de huéspedes (la mayoría de las veces sin nadie, un lujo). Al tener jardín privado no usamos mucho el resto de zonas comunes, aunque sí “robamos” algunos tomates del huerto de Susan & Martin, deliciosos! La ubicación algo aislada es lo que buscábamos, al mismo tiempo es un buen punto para explorar la zona. En radio de 1h aprox hay muchos lugares de interés (bodegas, castillos, pueblos…). Martín y Susan cuidan de cada detalle, conocen muy bien la región y te ofrecen muchísima información. Al hacer el check in nos dieron un librito con info de interés que nos fue súper bien para organizar qué hacer cada día. Se nota que disfrutan con ello!

Really lovely gite. It’s attached to the main house (which is beautiful) but with a separate entrance (with private parking and electric opening gates for the car) and walled garden, so it felt really private. The whole set up was perfect for our 16 month old as he could safely wander in and out the gite and potter around and everything for him was provided which was a bonus. The gite catches the morning sun so cooled down nicely in the evening, with the patio falling into the shade in time for supper. The shared swimming pool was lovely, and the grounds are really beautiful and peaceful. We picked lots of peaches, courgettes and raspberries from the organic orchard. The location was good- we drove about 30 mins each day to visit lots of different chateaus, markets and attractions, and there are a few boulangeries for the essential pain au chocolat in the mornings within 5 mins drive. Sue and Martin were brilliant hosts, they couldn’t do enough for us which made the whole holiday doubly enjoyable. Strong recommend.

Susan et Martin sont aux petits soins pour leurs invités. Le gîte et les extérieurs (piscine, potager) sont très agréables. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour pour sa tranquilité.

Loved our stay at Manoir Bourdon. Beautiful place, big garden, heated swimming pool! Lot of space inside and outside. You can use the bbq and pick your fruit and vegetables from the kitchen garden.
