Pros: Good A/C, clean, spacious room Cons: Paper-thin walls, inconsistent hot water, kitchen equipment only if you're a long-term guest. The last point is what makes this not really an Airbnb. It's a hotel room with a kitchenette. But you get nothing to cook with if you're only there a few days. I didn't complain about the hot water because in Saigon a cool one isn't a bad thing. It very much felt like a hotel and not an apartment, so I'm not sure I'd choose it again for that reason. But it was clean, and you get cleaning service, so that is appealing.

I had a great stay in Emerald Central. This was my first stay in Vietnam, and the local helping me choose I place asked: Do you want to stay somewhere expats live, or someplace locals live? I chose where locals live. Emerald Central, in District 3, is very different than what you'll find in Districts 2 or 7, but it suited me. You won't find a Starbucks within walking distance, but you will find many authentic local businesses, which is great. The laundry and cleaning services of the hotel were great. It would have been nice to have the kitchen equipped (there were no pots, pans, plates, or cutlery) but the hotel offered to loan me some supplies. It would have been nice to have towels, which were not offered for long-term stays. The price (monthly rate, not daily rate) seemed reasonable and I would stay again.

Great place for short term stay, would not recommend for long term as you would have to pay additional electricity fees. No amenities provided (towels, soap, etc.) due to long term stay. Walls are thin being able to hear neighbors. I had issues with AC which caused water leaks during my stay.

Great location and great place to spend a few days in. Staff are very attentive and provide great service
