Great weeklong stay for our family of four in Carpinteria. Property has direct access in the back to a large park with playground and plenty of fun in the yard itself for the kids with a climbing structure, ping pong table, fire pit etc. Nice location on the north side of town in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by mountains and lots of greenery. Dan was very communicative and was available for any needs. Good choice especially for families with kids!

Location, location, location! Dan's place is located in the most ideal location for families looking to relax and unwind near the beach! We couldn't get enough of the amazing backyard, mountain views, awesome park / dog park right behind the house, and a short 5 minute drive to the most beautiful beaches. This was the perfect spot for our family (myself, husband, twin 5 year old daughters, my mom, and pup too!) looking for a fun getaway before the school year begins and can't recommend the Carpinteria area enough. Note: This comfy spot matches the more casual / family vibes of Carpinteria (compared to neighboring Santa Barbara). Dan was a great host! Thank you Dan and family!

Staying at Dan's place exceeded our expectations by far! The house is clean, cozy, easy to use, absolutely comfortable and has so many extras from the decor to the jacuzzi. The kitchen is well appointed and very functional-we made several full meals. The outside space is so lovely to just read a book, enjoy the garden, or step out of the gate to the park. We rode bikes to the beach and into town (we brought two and two were provided along with a bike lock). Bike paths are wide, plentiful and easy to enjoy. People in town were so respectful of social distancing and mask wearing, we felt safe to do a small amount of eating out. The local beaches are clean, accessible, safe. We booked an incredible kayak expedition to Anacapa that was beyond amazing. The coastal breezes and comfortable set-up made enjoying the yard each evening a real pleasure. Dan was responsive to any questions immediately. The neighbors were warm and welcoming. Each of the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were great for our family of four (kids 11 and 13) giving everyone privacy but keeping us connected in inviting spaces. The layout of the home is really nice and very functional. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay!

Dan was the consummate host with great communication. The house far exceeded our expectation. The location is stunning with mountain views and cool breezes. The icing on the cake for our family was the sliding gate in the garden with direct access to a beautiful park. 5 mins to great beaches. Can't wait for his place to become available again ;)
