Marina est très hospitalière. Elle vous donnera des conseils chaleureux. La maison et son jardin ont beaucoup de charme, comme le petit village médiéval de Castiglione. De belles balades à faire dans les paysages des environs sompteux. L'ensemble est confortable et grand. Les 3 salles de bain sont appréciables si vous venez avec des enfants. Seule la cuisine est un peu petite. Idéal pour un couple avec enfants.

Marina's home is wonderful, as is the lady herself. Her house is cool and comfortable, well stocked with all the crockery, bed linens, etc. you might need and beautiful. The garden outside is lovely with fresh herbs growing that you can use in your cooking, a hammock for relaxing and even fireflies at night to give it the ultimate Tuscan charm and the view is unbeatable. We really enjoyed our time there and would consider returning. Things to note: Marina's home is located about 10 minutes outside of Sarteano and there is no public transportation. As the location is somewhat remote, the internet/wifi is not as reliable or robust as some might require. Marina charges for electricity and gas as used as well as excess wifi usage. We stayed for 7 nights and paid only 15 euros for all of these things combined.

We had a great time at Marina's, most of which we spent in the terrace garden which is very peaceful and has beautiful views. You can see birds of prey circling above and spot the occasional deer in the meadow below. All around the house are great walking and cycling trails (some very steep too!) The three bedrooms were all very comfortable and the bathrooms all had great water pressure. The kitchen, although a little bit small, was very well equipped and we ended up eating in a lot more than expected as it was just so lovely. Marina was helpful in so many ways - from leaving groceries for us when we arrived, recommending bike hire companies, where to buy the best olive oil, tips on the local area and even regularly dropping of salad leaves from her own veg garden. The wifi in the house worked really well and the village also has free unlimited wifi in the square a few minutes walk away - it's provided by a hotel that's taken over a lot of the existing houses but to us it seemed quite unspoilt and we were very welcome to wander freely around the whole village and use the terrace bar etc. In fact, everyone there was very welcoming - there was a lovely atmosphere. The towns and villages around Marina's place were also very picturesque and well worth exploring - I was glad we had our own car though as there's not much public transport and taxis are expensive. All in all, I would definitely go back - it's a very special place!

The house is really stunning, cosy and has everything you need. The view is gorgeous, lots of nice things to do in the area like hot springs, villages and nature. Stayed there for 5 days and it was perfect for us and the kids, we hope to go back there again in the future

Absolutely beautiful, beautiful villa in a secluded, lovely village. Great location for rest and relaxation, yet close by to a handful of lively villages. Truly heartbreaking to leave!
