The house is idyllic, with splendid views from absolutely all windows, excellent location with majestic mountain views, romantic sunsets over the ocean, good visibility for northern lights, all in a valley of fascinating ancient resonance with relevant historical figures and Viking trails. The unique combination of traditional antiques with modern photography and high living standards, in accords of Icelandic music from provided CDs makes this accommodation outstanding and best choice for finding absolute peace and a creative mood. Kristjan’s very precise descriptions combined with his sympathetic and prosaic communication style made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s been simultaneously a very efficient and pleasant cultural experience. Highly recommended accommodation. Florentina and Michael
This was just what I needed to be remote and enjoy the quiet and beauty of Iceland. House was very well equipped with everything you needed. look forward to another visit in the summer.
Kristján's place was absolutely wonderful. The little house itself has so much character and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from the big window are beautiful. We were able to watch the Northern Lights from the house even when the forecast was poor. When the weather turned, Kristján thoughtfully made sure we knew how to navigate it.
Kirstján's place is absolutely stunning. Set in a beautiful mountain range where only a couple of lights can be seen in the distance. We stayed here for 3 nights and saw the aurora on all three! A lot of care and thought has been put into the cottage, and it absolutely shows. Its beautifully designed, and clearly sturdy enough to stand up to the very strong, howling winds that roll through at night, which can be quite loud! The log burner is great to get warm by after a cold day in winter. Kristján was easy to contact and very responsive, and sent through a very thorough message of recommendations and instructions, which was greatly appreciated! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, we really hope to come back again for longer!
Es ist wirklich ein Stück Himmel … sehr einsam, traumhafte Landschaft und für uns Erholung pur! Lange Zeit schon stand Kristjans Hütte auf unserer Liste der schönsten Unterkünfte. Ganz so wie wir es wollen - einsam und alleine. Man hat einen sagenhaften Blick aus dem großen Fenster im Wohnzimmer und wenn es draußen stürmt und schneit, kann man es sich im Kamin kuschelig warm machen. Es ist alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Kristjan ist immer schnell erreichbar gewesen und hatte tolle Tipps! Selbst als es mir gesundheitlich schlecht ging, stand er mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir würden gerne jedes Wochenende kommen um auszuspannen, das ist aber leider nicht möglich. Wettertechnisch hatten wir absolut Glück.. Sonne und Schnee pur, gepaart mit Nordlichtern. Was will man mehr? Es war einfach ein tolles zuhause und ein Traum ging in Erfüllung. Danke
