Charlotte & Aldo’s home is just gorgeous, inside and out! We loved our stay and wished we had longer. The garden was still beautiful despite the season, but I can imagine how pleasant it would be in warmer months. Drank the mountain spring water that is available right on the property. We were greeted by one of the sweetest dogs ever, which was so nice because we missed our dogs. The drive up was a surprise and a little tricky to find the start of the driveway (which is a 5 minute upward hairpin turn kind of driveway), but we got used to it after the first time. The closest restaurant was closed for the season, but we ate at Restaurant Le Colonne, which was delicious and very friendly to tourists. 10 minute drive to that restaurant. We took day trips to Lucca and Florence. 30 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes, respectively. Would recommend without hesitation!

Alloggio molto bello e accogliente, situato nel verde sulle colline lucchesi. Molto pulito e ben tenuto. Ottima ospitalità del Sig.Aldo, che ci ha accolto al checkin e che ha tenuto la casa bella calda. Ho condiviso qualche accorgimento che avrebbero reso il soggiorno veramente perfetto. Penso che sia unico abitarvi durante il periodo estivo, la piscina, la sauna esterna e il giardino sarebbero veramente di massimo godimento. Ci torneremo presto. Grazie

Wir haben eine Woche mit 2 Familien (4 Erwachsene, 4 Kinder) in dem schönen Haus von Charlotte und Aldo verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und war perfekt für 2 Familien geeignet. Allerdings gibt es viele Stufen und eine offene Treppe im Haus, also evtl. nichts für sehr kleine Kinder oder ältere Menschen. Besonders haben wir den weitläufigen Garten mit toller Aussicht und den großen gepflegten Pool genossen. Die Anfahrt im Dunkeln war zuerst etwas schwierig, da es einen Übersetzungsfehler bei der Wegbeschreibung gab, also besser die Originalbeschreibung lesen. Ansonsten fanden wir die Zufahrt zum Haus gut machbar!

We had a great stay at Charlotte and Aldo's villa! We ended up getting to the villa much later than expected due to traveling issues and Aldo was very accommodating and responsive. The villa is absolutely beautiful and the view is stunning! We also enjoyed the dogs around the villa that would visit sometimes. The location is very good. It's off the beaten path but only an hour and fifteen minutes from Florence and a half hour from Lucca. I would definitely recommend this villa and stay there again.
