If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place to unplug and relax in a beautiful natural setting then this is your place! The treehouse is amazing, comfortable, and so clean! ❤ The only thing that we didn't like was having to leave! Loved every minute of our stay, and Thomas is a wonderful host!
We had such a relaxing, peaceful, beautiful stay at the treehouse. The beauty and the craftsmanship make the treehouse one of a kind. Thomas is such a great host! We’d love to go back again.
Wonderful experience sleeping in a treehouse. Convenient location for other local attractions. Tom is very thoughtful in providing everything one may need for an enjoyable stay. The air is so fresh and the setup is so relaxing.
I really don’t think there is anything else I can say about the treehouse that hasn’t already been said. It’s just a great, relaxing place. It’s an experience, not a place to stay. Pros: 1. It’s a friggin’ treehouse!! It was so cool living up in the trees for a few days! 2. Tom has done an excellent job creating space. Yes, there is a tree house, but there is also a kitchen area, patio, tented seating area, hammock, and fire pit. There are lots of places to hang out and do your thing! 3. The attention to detail throughout the property is amazing. First, the craftsmanship and build of the actual treehouse is beyond belief. But aside from the physical treehouse, Thomas has though of everything! From firewood to dish soap! From board games to bug repellent! From skylights to recycling containers! It’s all there! Cons: 1. Yes, the bathroom is a short walk from the treehouse. This was clearly noted in the Airbnb posting, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did feel odd waking up in the middle of the night and having to walk down the path. It was fine in July. Not sure about February. 2. The fire pit is located away from the treehouse. I mean, probably best to keep the fire away from the treehouse and next to the small stream and pond on property. However, taking all of the supplies you need from the treehouse to the fire pit was a pain. 3. The wifi signal was a bit weak now and then. But it only went out once or twice for a very short time and came right back. It wasn’t a constant issue by any means. Overall, this experience is highly recommended. It’s worth the money to sleep in the trees for a few days. We loved spending our mornings sitting on the balcony drinking our coffee. It was just a really fantastic experience.

The Adirondack Treehouse Retreat was born organically, originally built through a creative idea and a special place for Tom's children to play. However, when the boys grew up and moved on to other endeavors Tom decided to share the treehouse with guests both near and far. Both Tom and Susan have a passion for nature and living an organic lifestyle. Eager to pause in life and take in the sights and sounds of nature from the frogs and crickets on a summer night to the song birds or occasional Blue Herron sighting down at the pond. Another enjoyment is observing the personalities of their small flock of chickens and of course the wonderful eggs they produce is unmatched. The chicken coop and run were another creative project keeping with the Adirondack style and taking nearly a full summer to complete. Upon your stay you may encounter the chickens running freely about the property consuming bugs. Susan can often be found in the garden checking, tending, and watering. The fence surrounding the garden was a welcome addition for keeping the chickens and deer at bay. When Tom is not busy with the Treehouse you may find him in his wood shop crafting furniture using many techniques from an earlier time. With 25 years in this business Tom specializes in chairs and custom pieces. Together Tom and Susan enjoy cooking, star/moon gazing, walks, family and seeking truth.
