A incredible apartment with everything you could wish for! A great place to call home in Venice be and gather with your traveling partners. We had an wonderful time, spent lovely evenings on the veranda, the view is spectacular! We could even see the snowy mountains far off in the distance. This was our second time staying with Ludovica and we will absolutely stay there again! We highly recommend us very special home!

Take videos of everything functioning. Video door locks, electrical items working, and especially the flushing toilets. Upon arrival one toilet emptied slowly upon first flush, we thought this was perhaps normal for a 400 year old villa. Upon the second flush the bowl did not empty. We reported this immediately. The owner, without evidence or investigation, accused us of tossing foreign objects down the toilet. These accusations were false, absurd and insulting. This issue obviously had been developing for some time before our arrival. Before a plumber even arrived, we were told firmly we would pay 1500 euro, plus 22% VAT, to unclog the toilet. We refused. We are seasoned travelers who have a decade-long spotless renting record and used only the supplied toilet paper. Communicating, responding, and documenting this issue to all parties cost us anxiety and dozens of hours of lost time in Europe. The case, revised down to 390 euro to unclog a toilet, is with Airbnb arbitration.

Perfect place to stay with a family of 4. Loved Venice and at the end of the day, loved coming back to stay here. Quiet location which was close to food, groceries, gelato, quiet neighboorhoods to sit in and watch locals, as well as to the tourist spots like the Rialto and the Palazzo. The host was great and even found us a water taxi as we were coming into Venice. Would definitely stay here again.

Had an amazing stay at Ludovica’s penthouse, was exactly as described and just like the photos. The apartment had lots of open space and light and of course both a fantastic Altana (we looked but could not easily see any buildings taller than us) and a beautiful porch as well; there was nothing claustrophobic about it due to the height and light, unlike other places in Venice. You will have the benefit of a true “venice” experience by staying in a historic palazzo in a great neighborhood. The location is PERFECT, quiet but close to everything, couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place. Ludovica and Evelyn were extremely kind and helpful too, check in was a breeze and the water taxi was worth it. I usually like to add cons as well as pros to a review but the only thing I can think of is that the place is more “homey” than some airbnbs, with the gorgeous artwork and furnishings clearly being hand selected as opposed to the more sterile hotel feel, but I think that it is a great thing.

This is our second stay at Ludovica’s amazing apartment. Highly recommended. Everything is perfect from the location, comfort, beautiful views, etc. Visiting Venice in January during the quiet time allows for better opportunity to visit monuments and churches, walk the neighborhoods and eat at the best restaurants. Having a home base like Ludovica’s apartment adds to comfort and enjoyment.
